Tom is co-founder of Vital Links. A Vietnam veteran and nurse, he provides the insight needed to accomplish missions in South East Asia. His leadership is key to team security and his affection for other cultures is apparent. His vast travel experience enhances each journey.
Carol L. Miles RN, BSN

Carol brings a variety of nursing experience, a desire to help others and a zest for adventure to Vital Links. She has coordinated team missions to both the Navajo Reservation, Katrina Disaster and Vietnam since 1998. Recruitment of volunteers, supplies and funding are some of her skills.

Nancy has been a very active member of Vital Links. She is presently Clinical Nurse Specialist at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, Arizona. Nancy accompanied teams to Vietnam for 5 years beginning in 1998 and again in 2007.She has been instrumental in the organization with both recruitment of personnel and equipment. Her teaching skills and knowledge are key to the planning and implementation of our education programs in Vietnam and elsewhere. With a background of clinical, educational and crisis management she is an definite asset to the organization.
Eileen Doench RN, BSN,CNP.

Eileen is a Certified Nurse Practioner who has been associated with Vital Links for Humanity and supported the mission since it's beginning. She was a key team member on Vietnam Teams 2002, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009. Eileen uses her skills in her practice in with Arizona State University Clinics in Phoenix, Arizona. She has acted as a liason for us to Arizona State University and Phoenix Children's Hospital as we continue to build those links for humanity to improve healthcare in South East Asia or where ever we are needed.
Barbara Sudderth, MS in Finance

Vital Links has had a relationship with Barbara since 1996 when she handled the finance for Tom and Carol Miles when they lived as missionaries in Vietnam for 1 year. She has extensive experience and a degree in the field of finance. She stepped forth in faith as a business woman and builder of fine homes in the Fountain Hills area. Her outstanding leadership of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church Missions group expresses her heart for missions. We are very happy to have her join our organization in January of 2009.

Lorna has been a long time supporter of Vital Links missions. She is serving in leadership capacity a Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Lorna is in private practice in Phoenix, Arizona. She has a heart for missions and is willing to share her medical knowledge and skills on an international level. We welcomed her to our board in December of 2009.
